This booth uses solid timber where most booths use upholstery. The upper back is a row of vertical solid timber slats, about 4 cm wide with 2 cm gaps, so light and sightlines pass between them. A single upholstered lumbar pad below gives support where the back needs it.
Using less upholstery means less fabric and foam to replace over the booth's life, and timber slats can be sanded and re-oiled when worn. Back-to-back, the slatted backs keep the room visually open, and in a double-sided booth both faces of the slats are finished, so no separate back panel is needed.
The seat is a separate cushion on a timber plinth; the lumbar pad and seat can be specified with zip-off covers. Timber species is confirmed per order.
